“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.”
-Brene Brown
At the tender age of 19 I became a single mom and it launched me into adulthood and parenthood. At a very young age I experienced the joys and challenges of motherhood. Being a mother is one of the most profound experiences, which led me to my first experiences of surrendering to the Divine. I learned many practices and techniques to cope with life’s ups and downs. Unexpectedly, after my son was born, my sister (and only sibling) passed away from cancer, at the young age of 21. During this process, I was given the gifts to be able to observe and work with amazing healers and spiritual guides. I learned about spiritual animals, insects and nature as guides to these other realms (especially my work with the bees and the afterlife). This experience was my initiation into death, other realms, and tremendous grief and loss. Witnessing life and death first hand gave me the strength and courage it took to appreciate every day as a gift, leading me to specialize in trauma, grief, and loss. All of this ultimately guided me to the path of becoming a professional therapist.
